Meet your conjuror, Gabriel Varzalyi-Lopez
Gabriel Varzalyi-Lopez, the owner and proprietor of Haus of Galax, is a Southern Conjuror taught in New Orleans Louisiana under the tutelage of Crescent City Conjure in the French Quarter, New Orleans. He is a folk practitioner based in Southern Conjure, as well as an initiate in other spiritual traditions that have a significant mark on his craft and curios.
As their southern background is shared publicly, Gabriel is different cultural and lineage identities, stretching from Puerto Rico to ethnic groups in Slovakia and Iran, and Western Europe. His connection is to the ancestors and Orisha, and other spirits of the land and sea and sky. He works for the community, living and dead. While he has been formally trained, his work and craft extend to his ancestral lineage and the richness of the familial and cultural heritage he carries. Haus of Galax is queer and disability owned.

Wealth
In the reality of things, wealth and resources show up in an array of ways. Whether through physical cash, the mindset of abundance, or the inner peace in knowing that we are each important and wealthy in our own standard. This spiritual bath will assist in the magnetism of our honest works we do each and every day. A base of Epsom salts and herbs associated with wealth and prosperity, this spiritual bath will make you a magnet for opportunities and the personification of wealth.
Directions:
Step 1 – Take the salt bath out of the packaging and add it to a pot of boiling water.
Step 2 – Turn the stove off and stir the contents of bath clockwise
Step 3 – Say out loud Psalms 61, 65, or 72, or an affirmation associated with wealth and abundance.
Step 4 – Once the water is lukewarm or cold, use the same evening or store for whenever you need it.
Step 5 – In usage, this cleanse should be done before someone goes to bed. In the shower or tub, either take a bath with the mixture and the added bath water, or dump on oneself in a standing shower.
Step 6 – In the bath, visualize the wealth and abundance you want for your life.
Step 7 – Get out of the tub and air dry, saying the Psalms listed above or the affirmation spoken earlier.Step 8 – Once dry, wrap hair in a white head covering and head to bed. The next day, the remnants of the bath should go to the crossroad with an offering, thanking the spirits with their aid in adding love into your life. After the cleanse, don’t smoke, drink, have sex, or watch anything violent. This can mess with the energies of the cleanse and cause those same energies to come back two-fold.
Gris Gris – Based on West African traditions, the Gris Gris is a talisman or amulet that would be held by the person for a specific need. By picking a gris-gris, one will be picking a little spirit who will help someone on their intent. Every month or so, pray to the gris gris to make sure that it does the job that it was intended for.
-Anoint the Gris-Gris with oil and white liquor
-State it’s purpose for you and what you want it to do
-If you lose it, the Gris-Gris is doing the work for you and will return to you when it’s finished
-Feed (oil and liquor) once a month or if your intuition says otherwise
Scoundrel
This is a take on a New Orleans-style of a Follow-Me Boy/Girl oil. Put on the pressure points, this is meant to obtain the one that you want. Scoundrel is the type of oil that one would have on their person if they are also trying to allure someone of a higher status, giving the spirit of the free-spirit and untethered self. This oil can be placed on candles; however better used on the person you’re trying to attract. Through notes of Jasmine, Cedar and Musk, this is an oil fit for the flirtatious and scandalous.
